Latin-X Heritage Month Resolution

On September 23rd Commissioner Garcia aided in the push for the newly induced National Hispanic Heritage Month or Latin-X Heritage Month resolution. This resolution is meant to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of the anyone containing even a small portion of lineage from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, And Central and South America. According to the 2020 United States Census it is approximated that 25.6% of the Cook County Population are of Latin-X origin.
